Meet our physicians
A board-certified family physician, Dr. Unger practices preventative medicine for the overall health and wellness of his patients. Dr. Unger believes in active collaboration, education, and shared decision making between a patient and their provider. His practice primarily focuses on the comprehensive management of acute and chronic medical conditions specializing in wound care, along with their associated comorbidities. He knows that this takes time and a mutual understanding between the patient and provider to deliver the best possible care. Dr. Unger was born and raised in South Knoxville and continues practicing in Knoxville and the surrounding areas. As a husband and father of four, he values quality patient care for the entire family. When not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, and the outdoors whether at the soccer field or in the mountains, lake or rivers of East Tennessee.
Dr. Ryan unger
Dr. McCauley is an East Tennessee native having grown up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. His education was primarily mathematics and science based providing entry into medical school. He has been Board Certified in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1991 and continues to recertify annually to stay up to date with the latest developments in this and other fields of medicine. He has been nationally recognized for his creativity and advancements in the field of in office-based gynecology procedures. He and his family have lived in Knoxville since 1989 and he has enjoyed a busy practice during this tenure. With a robust surgical background, Dr. McCauley decided to use these skills in an area of medicine that is grossly underserved. He recently completed his training in wound care and is excited to be a part of creating this new clinic where he, along with Dr. Unger and their staff, will be able to treat patients who are in need of wound care. It is his desire to provide comprehensive management in order to expedite patient healing and recovery. In his free time he enjoys beekeeping, wood turning, and many other outdoor activities.
